Welcome to the January CQ, a game for quiz takers and makers. I love my hometown, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Nestled at the foot of the mountains, to the west are wide-open desert plateaus, so we get both skiing and hot, dry summers with spectacular blazing sunsets. Diversity of people and cultures, climate, and geography is the way of life here. It is rural and urbane, hot and cold, green and dry, old and modern, artsy and simple…all contradictions thriving together, but separate. The history is long, so I decided to focus my questions on celebrations and activities I’ve enjoyed all my life, particularly Fiesta de Santa Fe, which is held in September. Viva la Fiesta!
