Memorable Moments in Presidential Campaigns

Along the trail to elect a new commander-in-chief of the United States, we often get a chance to observe where America stands on social issues and where perhaps we are heading. These observations often arise out of incidents surrounding various candidates seeking that elected office. The moments are sometimes comical and sometimes tragic. Often they are somewhere in between. On some occasions, we get to see unguarded moments of emotion in a candidate, whether defending something that was attacked or when perhaps doing some attacking of their own. Some of the moments featured in this quiz helped turn the tide of an election, and some of them had no bearing. In any event, I hope you enjoy this look back at U.S. campaign history, the information for which comes primarily from the January 28-February 4, 2008 issue of U.S. News & World Report.
