|Growing up in Michigan during the 60's and 70's was a magical time for rock music fans. Southern Michigan rocked like no other place in the U.S., and still does. Every big name act made manditory stops here. Detroit was and will always be Rock City. You hear it in testimonials from the band members. You see it in the number of great live albums cuts made at places like Cobo Hall, Olympia, The Grand Ballroom, The Masonic Temple, and in and around the southern part of the state. I will give you some information about a 60-70's band, and you try to identify it or the fact about it.|
*** I wish the picture was bigger. It is amusing to see in the bottom row of bands a local band from Cleveland called the James Gang as one of the early openers.
