Misinterpreted Songs Lyrics (Funny Mondegreens) #2 What did they say???? There have been many songs whose lyrics are hard to understand. One of the best examples is a song by Bob Dylan. The real lyric is: "The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind." Many people thought they heard: "The ants are my friends, they're blowing in the wind." YES, some people actually thought that was what the lyrics were! This kind of lyric misinterpretation is so common that it has a name, Mondegreens. I never knew the real lyric on the question on the question about the Pretenders until I researched these questions. Let's see how many you know...or didn't know that you knew. I'll give you the wrong lyric, you give me the correct one.
