My Mother's Old Recipes

buchananBuchanan on 10/22/2009

Trivia Quiz These quizzes are in memory of my mother. They are old but I think you will recognize what it is by the ingredients. My mother would be 105 yrs young if she were living. I wanted to do something for her in her honor. We grew up on a farm and lived off the land. She loved to cook and as the expression goes, "she cooked enough for thrashers!"
#1 Pies. The recipes are written just as she wrote them. Hope you enjoy this and please rate.

Some (almost all) these desserts are unfamiliar to an English woman, but interesting. I'll try some of these recipes.

Oldies but goodies... Mom's recipes are always the best! I'm going for #1 and #10...ingredients I don't have on hand are on my grocery list! My neighbors are always happy when I bake... I dare not leave an entire dessert in my kitchen! (The details of the recipes surely took time to type! )

To misquote Winston Churchill: two peoples separated by a
common language, and a wildly different cuisine.
