Towards the end of 2003, my girlfriend decided that she wanted to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. I decided that I could combine my love of travel with her love of climbing, and we would drive from Johannesburg, South Africa to Mount Kilimanjaro, and while she and a few friends were climbing, I would visit friends in neighbouring Uganda. As luck(?) would have it, one of her friends pulled out at the last moment, and I was dragged along for the climb. This quiz follows our epic journey from our comfortable little house in Johannesburg, to the inhospitable, dangerous top of Africa's highest peak, and back to a cozy warm bed and a welcoming wagging dog's tail back in Johannesburg.
