What a great bunch of guys, one of the biggest bands of the seventies and here's just a few reasons why: Slade amassed UK chart single sales of over six and a half million copies, including six No. 1's (all penned by Noddy and Jim of the band). Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without THAT song! They were fun, funny, bright and brash and appealed to everyone from kid sisters to great-grandads. They knew the language of text messaging even before mobile phones were invented....! Have a go at guessing the correct Slade hit from a line I give you from the chorus:
