Oh, What a Feeling!-Romanticism

|Background-Romanticism was a school of thought found within the arts, politics, literature, and history. The triumph of emotion and faith over scientific logic appealed greatly to the figures of Romanticism. Nature was glorified and portrayed in a tempestuousness manner. The encouragement of personal freedom and flexibility influenced those fighting slavery, industrial abuses, and poverty. For many, the Middle Ages’ emphasis upon honor, faith, and chivalry was extolled. Some of the Eastern European Romantics emphasized simplistic views of peasant life, and transcribed folk songs, tales, and proverbs.|
The following quiz asks questions on the background and major figures, ideas, and works of the Romantic Movement. As always, I hope you perform well on the quiz.
