One of the Great Ones, Jimmy Stewart

My husband considers me the Queen of (his words) weird movies. Yes, I love movies that are old, British, think pieces or costume/period pieces. I consider them comfort movies.
Don't get me wrong, I love some of the new stuff, but these teen movies they are producing now will never be a match for "American Graffiti".
I also love movies based on great literature. The BBC recently rediscovered author Elizabeth Gaskell, by doing amazing productions of "Wives and Daughters" and "Cranford".
Enough of that, back to the subject at hand. Jimmy Stewart movies fit right into my concept of comfort movies.

I too am a big fan of Jimmy Stewart. You stumped me on one. Among today's actors, it's hard to find someone with his likable charm (on and off camera). Tom Hanks come close. But there was, is, and always will be only one Jimmy Stewart . . . a national treasure. Thanks for reminding me of some of the great (and a few not so great films) starring Mr. Stewart.
