|Harry Truman, the 33rd president of the U.S., was born in 1884. Always living in the shadow of F.D.R., he is now ranked as one of the better leaders of this country. He was a likable and course man who often used profanity. As president, he would make several critically significant decisions. He guided the nation through demobilization and the early Cold War, but he had trouble swaying Congress on domestic issues. He is ranked seventh on the C-Span historians' survey of greatest presidents.|
