Our 33rd President - Truman's Foreign Policy
![]() |
Harry Truman, the 33rd president of the U.S., was born in 1884. Always living in the shadow of F.D.R., he is now ranked as one of the better leaders of this country. He was a likable and course man who often used profanity. As president, he would make several critically significant decisions. He guided the nation through demobilization and the early Cold War, but he had trouble swaying Congress on domestic issues. He is ranked seventh on the C-Span historian survey of greatest presidents. The following quiz asks questions pertaining to his foreign policy. Good Luck! Sources: David McCullough's “Truman” and my personal notes collected over twenty years.
