Pancakes from scratch -- none better

|Call them pancakes, batter cakes, blankets, brown bucks, crepes, flapjacks, flats, griddlecakes, hot cakes, johnnycakes, manhole covers, tire patches, wheat cakes, whatever, they are a breakfast staple. Top with some real butter and maple syrup and set them beside a couple eggs and meat of choice and you have a gourmet delight.|
BUT! Do you make them from a mix where you just add milk, egg and oil, or even worse, from a "complete" mix. Or do you make them from scratch.
Sometime when you are not in a rush and you want great pancakes instead of those lame things from the box, try making them from scratch. It is not that hard. It only takes an extra 4 or 5 minutes, and they are 10 times better than from a mix.
