In a surprising reversal, a court had ordered Paris Hilton back to jail to serve out the remainder of her sentence. What kind of person was she to deserve such scrutiny? Why was the tale of her imprisonment more noteworthy than that of, say, Scooter Libby, or a diaper-clad astronaut? We will investigate this story in detail, and I will try to give you some idea of the true significance of Ms. Hilton.
