Pearls of Wisdom - The Cliche Quiz #3
Flcyclist on 04/17/2008
|A cliche consists of any phrase, sentence or expression that has been so overused that, for all intents and purposes (see? There’s a cliche right there!) it’s been run to seed (and yet another). It is usually trite or commonplace, but it’s catch as catch can (another one!) for this quiz!|
I will attempt to describe a cliche in plain English. This time it’s up to you to guess which of the cliches listed is the one that I’m NOT describing. Four will be very similar but one will be different. Anyone who’s not dead from the neck up (you can stop counting now!) can take this quiz. It’s grist for the mill, so step up to the plate, just grit your teeth and grin and bear it! Thanks for taking my quiz and ... have a nice day!
