It is not easy to define progressive rock, but most progressive rock bands share various characteristics, including: heavy use of keyboards and synthesizers, unusual instrumentation, albums based on themes, long extended songs with complex arrangements, heavy use of metaphor, and grandiose stage presentations. Progressive rock is a very incestuous genre. Band members seem to constantly move from one band to another. Each band in this quiz is linked to the following band by a band member (or in one case by a producer/band member). These groups (with maybe one or two exceptions - one of which is a standard trivia question anyway) were among the most popular groups of the early 70's and I've provided multiple clues. You should score well even if you aren't a prog rocker.
