Ruthless rhymes for heartless homes

|Many people think sick, or black, humor is the creation of the late 20th century writers. In fact in the UK at the turn of the 20th century two of the funniest and blackest writers may have created this genre almost single handedly. I shall come to the works of H. H. Munro – Saki – in due course. But the poetry of Harry Graham set some kind of benchmark for sick humor that to my mind has never been surpassed, especially when you consider the context of the times he lived in. A colonel in the army, and the lyricist for Brigadoon, Graham wrote the funniest doggerel verse I know... and it is all in the worst possible taste. It is a shame his work is largely forgotten. Though, believe it or not Dover sells the best of his collected work – for a dollar!|
Given those clues, all you have to do is finish the verses I’ll start for you. Just try and pick the funniest and sickest option and I’m sure you’ll get them all right!
