Okay, so the Greek philosopher, Heracletus, couldn't really have met the Muslim leader, Saladin - they lived 1700 years apart! However, because of the way history is presented to us in school, we sometimes fail to realize what historical characters were living at the same time in different parts of the continent or world. When I homeschooled my son, we made a giganitic timeline on our wall and I was shocked to realize who could have met whom, had circumstances allowed it! Here are ten pairs of people who lived at the same time, but to my knowledge, never met. Your job will be to guess them both by their descriptions and answer the question. NOTE: At least one question includes (a) character(s) deemed mythological by most. However, the event involved actually happened and the character(s) may have actually existed, although his/her legend is most certainly exaggerated. Also, some dates, especially in ancient history, are not certain, but the ones used are according Wikipedia and, in one case, http://www.abiblestudy.com.
