Science fiction used to be "fiction about science," but has evolved into a wide-open field that encompasses a huge number of subgenres. In fact, science fiction as a genre is difficult to define precisely because of the large number of subgenres and themes that cross over and under themselves as authors weave unique storyline tapestries. My forays into the science fiction field were too limited to fully appreciate this fine quiz.
These are ABSOLUTELY the best defining explanations and examples of these different subgenres. Perfection!
