Song Hits and Time Lines (50's, 60's & 70's)

Do you remember what song was always playing on the radio the first time you had your heart broken? Most people can say that a song will take them back to a certain moment in their past and it shines like the sun. I will give you a couple of momentous happenings of a certain year if you can give me the song that was a No.1 hit on the American Billboard charts of that year. All the wrong answers were also No.1 hits but NOT in the same year. May be tough...Dunno....Skin it back and rip it up!

Loved it...of course I got 100%...by the way...Hoffa disappeared in 75 and the Exorcist was a hit n 73...no?

Yikes, I did awful on this! Wait a minute-- I'm currently #5 ranked! Cognitive dissonance! 
Really good idea for a quiz, I would suggest doing more of these-- but with a wider gap between song years.
