Songs Used by Recent U.S. Presidential Campaigns

|Candidates have often used popular songs they felt appropriate to their message while campaigning across the country. Sometimes the artists who recorded the songs are fine with it...but sometimes they're not. But it's difficult to prove that an illegal line had been crossed. |
Public places that broadcast music need a license from a performing rights organization, and then these venues buy such a license for the right to play all works by all the artists of an organization such as ASCAP (which has about 330,000 artists in its base). There's almost nothing an artist can do if he/she is in that group. The only chance an artist has to win a suit against a politician over such a protest would be to prove that the false impression was given that the artist actually supported the candidate.
Here's a quiz featuring recent presidential campaigns and some of the songs that were used by the candidates. Good luck, and please rate the quiz afterward if you have the chance. Thanks!
