Songs of the 1950s That We "Fell in Love" To!

I passed through my teen years in the mid fifties. The entire sound of music was beginning to make a BIG change. I am a native Detroiter so some of the Motown singers/groups were beginning to record although Motown didn't make it big until the 60's. I will tell you a little bit about a singer or group and you name the recording. Sometimes they were not the first nor the only ones to record it but they made it popular at least "in my neck of the woods"! (How's that for an idiom?) my sources are my memories and the Internet. All artists and songs are from the US.
