Springfield, Illinois - Lincoln land

Springfield, Illinois; despite my best efforts I haven’t been able to make “Flat As The Rest Of The State, But We Have Lincoln” the city’s motto. I moved here 10 years ago from a city nestled in a mountain valley. Besides the flat, I noticed how much the citizens loved Lincoln. Everywhere you go there’s Lincoln this or Abe that. But this quiz will deal with historic sites and events that took place within the city that are connected to our 16th president. Some questions are longer then I usually like. Have fun with it and hopefully pick up a new bit of trivia or two.
