Stage Mothers
![]() |
In show business, "stage mother" is the term for the mother of a child performer. Often, this mother is the child's manager and oversees such things as auditions, costuming, performances, and salaries. There is sometimes a negative connotation to the term "stage mother", because some think they make unreasonable demands on the child for their own gratification. I will give you the first name, and the last if it differs from the child. A first name might not be very helpful, but I will provide examples of the child's work to help you choose the right answer. Some of these are performers from past generations, and some are modern. Hope you score well and enjoy!
