I had 31 recordings of "Stormy Monday" to select from for this Song Remains the Same Quiz. Although these include versions recorded by artists typically identified with rock or jazz as well as blues, every version of the song remains a blues at its core. There is simply less variation between the versions I own of "Stormy Monday" compared to some other titles, despite the relatively large number of performances of the song that I own. "They call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad." Unfortunately, "Wednesday's worse, and Thursday's also sad." The image to this quiz is a publicity poster for the film "Stormy Monday"; the movie soundtrack contains a version of this song that is the subject of one of the questions. As with all of my "Song Remains the Same" quizzes, any versions of the song that appear as correct answers are part of my personal music collection.
