In light of the ongoing Salty Dog battle about whether snooker is a sport, a Yahoo news title caught my attention this morning, about the weirdest sports found around the world.

In my quest to create quizzes about the strange and the obscure, this is my first quiz of 2008.

These are all real sports, some of them actually having championships - who knew?

Sources include wikipedia, doctordanger.com and various news wire sites frantically googled to find more info about these strange and wonderful sports!
