I'm back from another fantastic vacation, so what better time to break my long hiatus from quiz-writing? This time, it was Costa Rica, along with an unplanned visit elsewhere, which will be covered in the second half of the quiz. This should be a fun quiz; I'll ask you about some of the people, places and things I saw and learned. And as an extra bonus, don't start the quiz just yet. On my profile page, I've added nine pictures I took, corresponding to questions 1-9 of this quiz. None of them are required reading (in fact, I did have to photoshop out a spoiler or two), but they may add substantial color to the subject matter. The picture for Question 4 may be particularly helpful, but I did try to add a clue or two in the text for those of you who don't want to look. In fact, if you want, open up another window, bring up my profile page, and select the relevant pictures as you go through. One other thing. The questions are long. I've given background and detail. If you prefer to cut to the chase, just jump to the last paragraph of multi-paragraph questions, and read the whole thing when the answer page comes up. It's up to you.

What a lot of fun! It was great to have the extra pictures on Ken's profile to add to the interest and help with the questions. More, please! (Another excuse to take a vacation ... quiz material!)
