"Summertime, and the living is easy...". This quiz is about the song and many versions of "Summertime". I was playing around with my database of recordings and discovered that I own about two dozen different recordings of the song. I own every version of "Summertime" that features in this quiz -- not that my 24 or so versions holds a candle to the over 13,500 recorded versions of the song identified at the website "The Summertime Connection".

For the most part, you are asked to identify an artist who has recorded a version of "Summertime" or, more precisely, a version of "Summertime" that I own. I provide you with information about each artist who recorded a version of "Summertime" -- for instance, the names of several other songs written by that artist -- and you identify who that artist is. The versions encompass jazz, popular vocal, folk, and blues styles.
