Surreyman's 'Ancient Treasures'

|Here's one - or, rather, two - quizzes with a difference!|
Surreyman and Tuzilla co-operated, and set themselves a common quiz theme - 'Ancient Treasures'.
This one is Surreyman's Ancient Treasures. Close to it in the same section you'll see Tuzilla's Ancient Treasures.
Neither has the faintest idea of how the other will be treating the subject - in fact, we'll end up taking each other's quiz! However, it was fixed that the quizzes were edited by the same 'neutral' Editor, and launched together.
It's not a race for scores, or anything like that. Just an interesting comparison of how two of Sploofus's 'historical' authors would treat the same subject.
OK - here comes Surreyman's version:
I've elected to go for ancient treasures around the world, most of which I've visited personally so that I can add a bit of 'local colour' here and there - the 'treasures' largely being ancient remains.
Hopefully, the questions will be slightly tough in the sense that some knowledge of the world's ancient ruins etc. will be needed but, within that knowledge, the questions will be straightforward.
So off we (or, rather, you!) go .....
I must away to see what Tuzilla has done with all this! I'm sure we'd both be interested in your posted comments on this rather novel joint approach to Sploofus authoring.
Maybe, too, you'd like to contribute your version?
