Talk Like Shakesphere Today

bigmama60Bigmama60 on 04/23/2009

TalkLikeShakesphereToday Photo The exact date of Shakespeare’s birth is unknown. He was baptized on April 26, 1564, on record in the parish register of Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, in the English Midlands. Based on this record and on the fact that children in Shakespeare’s time were usually baptized two or three days after birth, April 23 has traditionally been accepted as his date of birth. That means as of April 23, 2009, Shakespeare's spirit is 445 years old.

In my home town of Chicago, Mayor Richard J. Daley Jr. proclaimed April 23rd, 2009 Talk Like Shakespeare Day. I'd like to share my quiz with you, so all who take the quiz can celebrate Shakespeare's birthday, but, only "Chicago style" as our Richard II, as we affectionately call him, will be celebrating Shakespeare's birthday with rest of the globe.

Thank you for taking my quiz and happy celebrating. Don't forget to rate it.
