Congress of Vienna

Background-The European continent was in a state of exhaustion after the defeat of Napoleon. The tumultuous changes brought by Napoleon and the earlier French Revolution led to a backlash on the part of several European rulers who truly believed that they could hold back the tide of liberalism and nationalism. Their interpretation of “Never Again” inspired periods of ruthless repression and censorship. Many of these policies were promulgated after the Congress of Vienna, held in 1815. This particular quiz asks questions relating to the pivotal leaders, events, and results of the post-Napoleonic period. As always, good luck!
