Whether you accept the 1946-1964 era as the Baby Boomer timeline or, as some observers argue, the period 1942-1953, for us the 1950s was the first decade to shape our view of the world. I was born in 1947, spending my formative years in the "City That Never Sleeps". The 50s was the first full decade of television programming in the US, and the novelty was far from wearing off. For many families the "boob tube" would serve as a handy, if curious, babysitter. It was to be enjoyed AFTER finishing our homework, of course. And all of this coming before we learned of the "dangers" of watching too much TV! Television provided us with some memorable characters, and more than its share of forgettable ones. This quiz focuses on the actors and characters of those 1950s TV shows. Enjoy, and I hope you had your ginseng and gingko today! If you enjoy this quiz, please try my other Baby Boomer quizzes!
