The Big Five Part One

Having recently returned from a trip to South Africa I thought I'd write a series of quizzes about The Big Five; those animals which make up the Big Five. Also I will include in this series the members of the 'Little Five' and many other animals that can be found in the Game Reserves of South Africa. As this series will be broken up into several short quizzes, brush up on your knowledge of animals found in the wild in South Africa before you begin....here's your chance to do really well!
The title 'Big Five' was originally given by game hunters and refers to the five large mammals that were most sought after by game hunters in Africa. The 'Big Five' were not selected based on their size, but because of the difficulty in hunting them. The collection consists of the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and black rhinoceros. The 'Little Five' are a more recent grouping. They include Buffalo Weaver, The Elephant Shrew, Leopard Tortoise, Ant Lion and the Rhino Beetle.
