The Boer War (in fact, it was the second) was not one of the British Empire's finer episodes. Although the British 'won', their casualties were four times those of the Boers, and civilian casualties were more than for both armies combined. Its causes were dubious and its execution was appalling (as some might consider a certain current conflict!). But it happened. YOU will be, in turns, the Boers and the British (OK colonials, I know a lot of you were there too!). You will be faced with the very choices they faced leading up to the final conclusion. So it doesn't matter if you don't yet know much about the Boer War or its history! You'll decide, step by step, what YOU would have done. Maybe, with you in charge, you could have avoided many of the calamities! And after 10 questions & answers, maybe you'll also know, in a bit more depth, about the Boer War - in a more interesting way than just reading Wikipedia!
