The 'Bread And Butter Songs' Of C&W Artists

Just as in pop music, certain songs are associated with either the original artist who wrote/recorded it, or at the very least, an artist whose version was so definitive that an audience won't let them leave a stage without singing it.
These 'bread and butter songs', whether the artist enjoys singing them or not, insures them a lifetime of performance opportunity (and thus, income). Prior to the singer/songwriter era of the early 70s, it was not uncommon for multiple artists to record, and even have a hit record with, the same tune. This is not very common today. In country music, the same two things are true, but in country it was EXPECTED (prior to the 70s) that younger artists would record everything in the publishers' catalog (so the record companies would have it in the vault, which is why there is still 'new' Elvis product coming out every year) but also as homage to the older artists, and, as a way to get audiences to be comfortable with a new artist through the performance of a familiar song.
Here are 'bread and butter songs'. Name the artist with whom they are inextricably linked. I will not try to trick you with wrong answers who may have also recorded a title, though you may have some obscure album where
a wrong answer artist may have recorded something I'm not aware of. Here goes...
