The Columbian Exchange

|The "Columbian Exchange" is a term coined by social historian Alfred W. Crosby. It describes the exchange of plants, animals, foods, communicable diseases and technology between the Eastern and Western hemispheres that occurred after Columbus's voyage to America in 1492.|
On the positive side, this exchange eventually caused the ciruculation of crops and animals to diverse parts of the world, allowing the overall world population to increase and prosper in new ways for both sides of the globe. On the negative side, it decimated Native American populations at the time.
The picture that accompanies this quiz is of one of my favorite foods, the burrito, which couldn't exist without the blend of the hemispheres!
