I like rivers. So I like the longest of 'em all - the Nile. I've been along much of it, from Uganda to the Med - Or have I? 'Cos that Nile - the one that comes from far down in central Africa - ain't the only one. There's also another Nile - which, in fact, supplies some 70% of the 'Egyptian' Nile's water! Without the 'forgotten' Nile, Egypt probably wouldn't even exist. So why is it so little known? - 'Cos it's xxxxxx difficult to get to! I've only seen it where it joins the 'real' Nile, after having come down for some 1,000 miles through canyons almost as deep as the Grand Canyon! Intrigued? Well, I am, so you'll just have to suffer this beginner's guide to the mightiest, but forgotten, Nile of 'em all .........
