Greatest Heavy Metal Bands to Grace the Stage

In my "very 'eavy, very 'umble" opinion the greatest heavy metal bands were all British and they reigned between 1969 and 1975. After that we had the clones and a wee smattering of good metal bands until they took us screaming and kicking into the abyss of 80's hair metal. I thank my lucky stars I embraced Punk in '77.

The one truly great U.S. metal band of this era was the highly underrated Pavlov's Dog - which most Americans outside of Missouri or the Pacific Northwest know nothing about. But I digress once again. I supply the lyric and you supply the band. There are only FIVE bands here which are mentioned. There are two songs (mostly my favourites) from each band, which may or may not help. Teach me a song and I'll dance for you and I won't mind what you're playing....
