The Kaufman Holiday Quiz

|Welcome to the December Challenge Quizzes -- a game for quiz takers and makers.|
The subtitle of this quiz is "Not Home for the Holidays." Let me explain.
The fourth Thursday of November is celebrated as Thanksgiving in the United States. The modern Thanksgiving tradition is to get together with oodles of family members, stuff yourself to the gills with an enormous turkey meal, and probably watch a bunch of football in the process. All of which is great ...
Your family gets horribly dysfunctional in any gathering above a critical mass, and ...
You (blasphemy!) really are not fond of turkey.
Since my better half and I both suffer from those two conditions, we have made it a point to be far away from the mob scenes at either of our families' whenever possible. And as a result, we've had some odd Thanksgiving dinners in all sorts of places. Come relive some of our past Thanksgivings, with an assortment of questions relevant to the time and place. This quiz will probably wind up being more US Geography/History than anything else, but fret not. You wouldn't want my holiday recipes anyway.
