The Lorax by Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite stories. It was published in 1971 and highlights the problems that occur in the environment today. This modern day fable is about industrialized society and has two main characters, the Once-ler(representing industry) and the Lorax (representing the environment). The Lorax is possibly Seuss' most controversial work and has at times been banned from schools and libraries.
