Growing up, I remember always having the Macy's Day Parade on TV while I helped my grandmothers make Thanksgiving dinner (even then mom was NOT a 'cooker'). My dad insisted the parade be on and he would tell us about the times he went and actually saw it LIVE! This year, I am FINALLY going to go and see the parade live! :) While I know the parade is really called the 'Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade', I didn't know a lot about its history. Do you?
