This is all about "The Mikado", Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular operetta and perhaps the most performed opera/musical of all time. The story is classic Gilbert and Sullivan comic satire. It is set in Japan but really pokes fun at Victorian England's manners and bureaucracy. "The Mikado" premiered at the Savoy Theatre in 1885 and has been performed countless times on stage, film and television all over the world (even Japan!). Here now is a fairly easy test of your knowledge and appreciation of "The Mikado".
