Welcome to the December Challenge Quizzes -- a game for quiz takers and makers. *****Please be aware many of my questions have a 4-5 sentence info to lead into the questions, so if you do not want to read or simply want to be able to skim through, this may not be the quiz for you. I certainly hope that you will try, but, I have had several people state that the questions were too long for the average person. Anyway, it was also stated that it was not common knowledge, and it may not be, but most of the questions have a lot of the info in it needed to draw the correct conclusion. I certainly hope that you will attempt the quiz, but please, understand it is not about tv shows or christmas music, it is about how our modern Christmas traditions came into being, where the root is of a lot of traditions. So, obviously it is a historical quiz, some of it rather ancient in fact and mostly European, since that is where Christmas got it's start. I have really had a hard time with this quiz. I am not sure why, but I literally have no idea on what to focus on. My quizzes tend to be very ecclectic anyway. I hope that this quiz will not be too hard or too annoying. I wish that I could have focused more, but I just could not seem to do so. I have referenced several articles, books, and websites. I checked information on wikipedia, refChristmas Around the World: History and Traditions by Justin Cleary, and Enclyclopedia Britannica.
