The Scottish Landscape
![]() |
The Scots were a proud race, often at odds with each other or the neighbouring English, and as a result anyone with the money and resources to do so built their homes to protect themselves. This has meant that architecture in Scotland is very different from other parts of Britain, both in how it looks and how it was built. The picture is of Craigievar Castle, and this quiz is on some of the more spectacular and fascinating places to be found in Scotland. Please note the questions are quite long and hope you enjoy it, anyway! Info from a lifetime of interest in books and TV programmes on historical subjects, and some websites such as wikipedia, elizabethi.org, royal.gov.uk, etc.
