In the early 20th century, the dime novels became popular and inspired heroes of many kinds. The cowboy was one of these heroes. When moving pictures came along, the natural choice for many movies were cowboys. I remember watching Roy Rogers and Gene Autry and bet you do to. See how many of these singing cowboys you remember.
