The Spanish Color Test. Can You Pass It?
![]() |
I’m still learning and practicing Spanish as I told you before in one of my other quizzes (Spanish Brain Teasers). This time, the quiz is a very basic aspect; I believe most people know, colors. Colors are common in Spanish just as all over the world, but like other adjectives, the adjective used in Spanish has to agree with the nouns they describe in gender and number. Some, on the other hand, e.g. names of the more unusual colors are treated differently in Spanish, rather than the way, they are in English. As you know, in most cases, names of colors come after the nouns they describe in most Spanish adjectives, but not before the noun as in English. Depending on the shade, and what color is being described, colors don’t always agree in the two languages (English and Spanish) for example: brown can also be conveyed by the Spanish word “castano”, “moreno” or “pardo”, Morado also is a common way to express purple in Spanish. I will give sentences with nouns commonly used in these ways as colors and you will select the proper usage. Buena suerte (good Luck)! yahoo.com my education Thanks for taking the quiz and please rate it.
