Surrealism is a movement in art and literature originating in France, reaching its peak in the 1920s and 1930s. Surrealist artists sought to express the contents of the subconscious and the process of thought, merging Dada and cubist elements with the fantastic imagery. Their images often depict deliberately distorted objects, unlikely combinations of mundane objects, or a mixture of the banal and the bizarre.
In this quiz, I featured ten artists, most of whom were associated with the movement, while others, through their works, are widely believed to have inspired it.
