Have you listened to alternative rock songs on the radio these days and thought, "I can't tell who sings this - it sounds the same as the rest of them."? Well join the club! With two teenage boys I've learned to differentiate a lot of the bands, but they sure do sound the same. It's not like the 70's era of classic rock where all the bands seemed to have a distinct sound and we could tell from a few chords or words who they were.

Even if you KNOW your alternative rock bands, this one could be challenging. This quiz will highlight some of today's more popular alternative rock bands. Each one I profile has had at least 1 top ten hit, so hopefully you can spot the right ones if you have keen ears.

Good for you for being able to distinguish these bands! I'm not familiar with most of them, obviously. I can't tell if the band is Boston, Foreigner or Journey, despite them being from the late 70's and early 80's. They all sound the same to me!
