Reproductive cloning is the science of creating animals that are genetically identical to the very same already existing breed of animal they were cloned from. In 1928, Hans Spemann experimented with the transferring of nuclei involving salamanders and he published his findings ten years later in "Embryonic Development and Induction." He called it a "fantastical experiment" and claimed the next logical research step would be the cloning of organisms by taking the nucleus of a differentiated cell and inserting it into an enucleated fertilized egg. Here is a timeline history of 23 various animals that have been cloned over the years. In this quiz, Part 1, I'll feature the first 12 of them. Good luck with the quiz and please rate it afterward if you have a chance. Thanks! Bill and Thanks again from Bill 2.
