US state abbreviations; a new word game

USstateabbreviationsanewwordgame Photo All you will need for this quiz is a knowledge of the two-letter abbreviations for the 50 US states (check out and a good memory or a pencil. That is because I'll ask you nine questions, each one of which will feature a place name that can be made up of those state abbreviations - with one letter left over. So if I gave you ACTINAL the answer I'm looking for would be the first A - A CT IN AL. (Neither AC not AT is a state so there should be no ambiguity. If you come to agroup of letters like UPT P is the odd letter out; UT is a state but neither UP not PT is a valid combination.)
Take the nine letters you get, and I'll ask you a tenth question about them, which will take exactly the same form. (Just in case there is any ambiguity, please start from the left of each word and work your way across.)
