Vietnam War
![]() |
The Vietnam War took place between 1964 and 1975. This is a war which saw the dropping of 1,388,000 tons of bombs and the destruction of the South Vietnamese infrastructure. Approximately 57,661 Americans died in this conflict which today is commemorated in the Maya Lin-designed Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. Cancer claims are still being made as a result of the herbicides used. 850,000 vets were unemployed ten years after the conflict. This war, which cost $140 billion, almost defeated LBJ’s War on Poverty. Additionally, the war disillusioned youth. This quiz asks questions involving the background of the conflict, major issues, people, and results of the war. Additional questions relate to the youth movement in the antiwar movement. Good luck!
